What is Aerospace Engineering Study ?

The design, development, testing, and production of aircraft, spacecraft and associated systems and equipment fall under the purview of aerospace engineering. The two main and overlapping branches of the field—aeronautical engineering and astronautical engineering—have historically concentrated on issues relating to atmospheric and space flight.

The theory, technology, and application of flight within the earth’s atmosphere are the main topics of aeronautical engineering.

The science and technology of spacecraft and launch vehicles are the main areas of interest in astronautical engineering.

What’s it like to work as an aerospace engineer?Aerospace engineers design or construct aircraft, spacecraft, missiles, or other defense-related systems in offices, laboratories, or manufacturing facilities. They can work in manufacturing, analysis and design, and research and development for either private businesses or the federal government.

Typical companies are:

  • aerospace and aviation businesses
  • airline companies
  • organizations engaged in research and development
  • Consultancies for contracting
  • Public Service
  • A military force
  • Universities and government organizations like The Ministry of Defense

Aerospace engineers frequently spend a lot of time working in offices, using sophisticated software programs and computers to help with design elements. These computer programs create virtual models, and it is the responsibility of the aerospace engineer to carry out evaluations and test simulations prior to the start of the manufacturing process.

Aerospace Engineering Schools in Malaysia

For business owners, Malaysia offers a complete infrastructure. Subang Aerotech Park, KLIA Aeropolis, UMW High-Value Manufacturing Park, Senai Airport Aviation Park, Nusajaya Tech Park, and Kulim Hi-Tech Park are among the country’s current number of aerospace parks. To make it easier for investors to realize their investments domestically, these parks offer a selection of pre-built facilities or land plots for customized developments.

According to a 2017 study by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI), the Malaysian aerospace industry employs 2,710 people in manufacturing, 1,470 people in avionics, 3,695 people in composites, and 269 people in special processing that supports the industry. These figures have been steadily increasing, and the need for skilled labor in the sector has not gone unnoticed.
