Chemical Engineering

Chemical engineers, it could be said, have answers to every issue, from perfecting DNA sequencing to learning how algae can replace petroleum. Graduates of chemical engineering can create new medicines and fertilizers, improve energy efficiency, and operate chemical plants.

Many people might not fully comprehend what you do and how it functions, but that’s alright. You can simply inform them that a lot of the daily assumptions they make are influenced by your work. Knowing that you are advancing the safety, efficiency, and health of the world will help you sleep better at night.

Graduates of chemical engineering can find employment as nuclear engineers, product development scientists, energy engineers, chemical engineers, and more.

Work of Chemical Engineers

An interdisciplinary field known as chemical engineering deals with turning raw materials into valuable products. Chemical engineers concentrate on creating and improving the procedures used to produce and refine goods. Chemical engineers also strive to create better materials, which have improved properties, are more durable, and last longer.

Area of Study in Chemical engineering

Chemical Engineering is a broad area of study that includes Engineering Science, Applied Mathematics, Chemistry, and Biology.

Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Chemical Reaction Kinetics, and Process Design are a few topics you’ll cover in Chemical Engineering courses. These scientific and engineering principles are necessary for your research and analytical work. You’ll also improve your ability to think critically and solve problems.

Why are you taking this course?

Chemical engineering is a field that is constantly changing and is connected to many different industries. Large-scale facilities in the chemical, petrochemical, and industrial biotechnology industries are being designed by chemical engineers.

In light of this, we acknowledge the value of an interdisciplinary approach. In order to address the current engineering skill shortage in the sector, the modules and their content have been carefully developed with our industry connections.
