Are you prepared to start a career as a chemical engineer? If so, there are five different Florida schools where you can begin. Associate’s-level programs are offered by four institutions. Ph.D., Master’s, and Bachelor’s degree programs are offered at all five institutions. $9,400 on average is spent on tuition each semester.

Progression Requirements for the Chemical Engineering Degree Program
Students majoring in Chemical Engineering must satisfy all of the following progression requirements in addition to the continuation requirements set forth by the College of Engineering in order to continue in the major:
By the end of the fifth semester, first-year students must successfully complete ECH 3023 Material and Energy Balances with a grade of at least C (C- is insufficient). (not counting summers). By the end of the third semester, upper-level transfer students must fulfill the same course and grade requirements. (not counting summers). At the time of admission to USF, the semester count starts. As soon as they enroll in the university, students are encouraged to finish this course.
For the collection of required major specialization courses, a student may not receive more than three (3) D, F, or W grades in any one course.
Students who are unable to meet these requirements for progression will need to change their major.
